Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year!
My name is Megan Henry and I have the privilege of serving as your PTA President for the 2014-2015 school year. This is my third year serving as your president and I am looking forward to a fantastic school year.
In addition to myself, there are four other wonderful ladies serving as your PTA officers this year. Ms. Belinda Smoot will be returning to serve in her role as Vice President. Ms. Jocelyn Fox, Ms. Amanda Propst and Ms. Jennifer Bryant are all new to their roles in the PTA. Ms. Jocelyn Fox will be serving as secretary, Ms. Amanda Propst will serve as treasurer, and Ms. Jennifer Bryant will serve as corresponding secretary. Each officer brings new and creative ideas that will only encourage our PTA to grow!
As the new school year begins, we would once again ask you for your support so that we can continue making resources available to our students and Glendale staff. Money raised through our fundraising efforts are used to help decrease bus costs for field trips, evening family events at school, teacher appreciation, cultural arts assemblies, fifth grade promotion activities, updated technology and much more. Over the years, the PTA has provided learning opportunities and social activities that may have otherwise been unavailable to our students. None of this would be possible without the support of our families.
This year as in the past we will be running two formal fundraisers. For the fall we are bringing back an old favorite, Yankee Candle! Look for packets to be coming home in mid October. Then in March be on the look out for the packet of tasty treats from Claire's Gourmet. In between we will also be hosting restaurant family nights at different local restaurants.
