Whew! It has been a BUSY month of May and we are only half way through! Thank you for being so patient for an update. Let's start at the beginning of the month....
May 2- Technology Trot Day!
We were very worried then mother nature decided to rain the entire week leading up to our trot. Some quick rearranging and help from Mr. Barbour we were able to move the Trot course to go around the building keeping the students and staff out of the mud! It ended up being prefect weather that day and all three Trot times went off without a problem! The students really seemed to enjoy themselves.
The day would not have been possible without the help of our fantastic staff and volunteers that came out to cheer the students on! We are so thankful for each and every one of you! Because of you the students had a safe and fun experience during their Trot!
The final total for the fundraiser is $2,749.00! With $764.00 of that being done through our new PayPal account. While it is short of the $10,000 we had hoped to raise, we are thankful to each and every member of our school community members that helped bring in sponsor money.
The prize level winners have been finalized and we will begin the process of handing out the prizes the beginning of next week! If you are one of the families that fell into the Top 10, we will be calling you directly to give the details of the Pump-it-up Party!

May 5-9 Teacher Appreciation Week
This was a fun event for us as a PTA. We hope that you found the theme of Our Teachers Are Superheros as fun as we did! The teachers and staff were treated to breakfast on Monday, small treats were left in their boxes Tuesday and Wednesday. Lunch was provided with help from Pat's Select in Pasadena on Thursday. Finally, on Friday we tickled their sweet tooth, with a variety of desserts. Thank you for showing your appreciation to your child's teacher! There were lots of smiles last week! Thank you to Mrs. Jennifer Bryant for helping us pull off this great week for our teachers!

May 5-9 Spring Buy on Get one Free Book Fair!
This is by far my most fun event we host. I love to see their faces light up when we send them back to get free books! Thank you to all our volunteers that came in to help the students make good book choices!
Mark your calendars for October 27-31st. That is the dates for the Fall 2014 Fair. Family night is still being determined.

May 22
As the school year comes to the end we still have one more fun event planned. Our first ever Skate Night! Pasadena Skating Rink on May 22 from 6:30-8:30pm. Forms have been sent home to pre-order your admission tickets. We will also be placing a form on the website as well. A big thank you to our new Family Events Chairperson, Hope Turner. Thanks for bringing fun, new family night ideas to our school community! This is shaping up to be a really fun event!
